Job Description

Position : Documentation, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist
Level : 10th
Type : Contract (Probation Period 6 months; Renewable based on performance)
Duty Station : Central Office, Pulchowk, Lalitpur with frequent field visits
Report to : Chief of Party
 
Qualification & Experience
 
The candidate should have a Master’s Degree in public health, demography, statistics, social science and sociology or equivalent standard of education and 6 years of successful experience in the areas of monitoring and evaluation and/or operational research, interpreting, analyzing and documenting results from national and international development programmes.
 
Major Functions
 
The documentation, M&E Specialist will provide technical leadership for project monitoring in order to ensure high standards of project efficiency, effectiveness and economy and act as the focal point for the M&E team. S/he is responsible for overall M&E planning, data collection, analysis, research, knowledge management, monitoring, and evaluation as well as information-sharing of programs and projects. The position requires 30% of time in field visits for supervision, monitoring, evaluation of the district level programs and technical backstopping to field staff on recording and reporting.
