Job Description

Chemonics International Inc., a leading international development consultant firm seeks qualified technical specialists and professional support staff for the anticipated USAID-funded Feed the Future Knowledge-based Integrated Sustainable Agriculture and Nutrition II Project (KISAN II). KISAN II aims to substantially reduce poverty and hunger by improving agricultural productivity; strengthening the competitiveness, resilience, and inclusiveness of market systems; enhancing the enabling environment; increasing the resilience of vulnerable communities through business Literacy; and applying collaboration, learning, and adaptation methodology to ensure flexible, results-driven programming.

We are seeking candidates interested in working in the mid and far western regions

Technical specialists needed in the following areas:

  • Access to Finance
  • Value Chain Development

Qualifications for technical specialists:

  • Master's degree required in agriculture, economics, international development, or a related field
  • Minimum of seven years of experience designing, implementing, and managing agriculture programs in Nepal
  • Experience with USAID-funded donor projects
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with the private sector, government entities, and international donors
  • Experience working on rice, maize, lentil and vegetable value chains preferred.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English required. Proficiency in Nepali is preferred
