Job Description

Position Title: Senior Research Analyst 
No. of Position: One 
Duration: One year with possibility of extension
Duty Station: Kathmandu with frequent travels 
 

Eligibility and key competencies:
Masters Degree with first division in the field of Economics/ Sociology/ Development Studies/ International Relations or similar subjects from accredited University either in Nepal or abroad

• Over Five (5) years of experience in the field of socio-economic research and program management with proven expertise in the field of research and analysis
• Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research techniques and strong IT skills
• Extensive knowledge of current issues in the context of Nepalese economy and society
• Good understanding of regional as well as global development trends and their consequences for socio-economic development, growth, and public policies
• Ability to develop concept notes /project proposals in structured format
• Strong project management skills including the ability to manage teams to deliver high quality work on time and within budget
• Excellent written and oral communications as well as inter-personnel skills to enhance relationships with stakeholders and clients.

Job Responsibilities:

• Explore calls for study by national, regional and global institutions in the research area of ISSR
• Explore regional and global partners for collaborative research
• Develop concept notes/technical and financial proposals in close coordination with governing council of ISSR
• Update national, regional and global policies in working areas of ISSR
• Develop roaster of consultants/experts 
• Prepare and manage technical events
• Facilitate technical studies of ISSR 
• Follow up the initiated discussions/collaborations with partner organizations and other stakeholders
• Work under the guidance and coordination with the Chairman/and member of the governing body of ISSR

Salaries and the other benefits are negotiable based on experience.
