Programme Manager

Job Description

Post holder should have following qualifications, experiences and management background as below: 

• Degree or equivalent in social science/work/management or relevant technical discipline.
• At least 7 years of programme technical experience on livelihood and related field.
• 5 years of leadership and management experience in an INGO with proven skills on team management.
• Experience in livelihood and economic empowerment theme with knowledge of humanitarian and Disaster Risk Reduction preferred.
• Experience of advocacy and linkages of programmes and projects with government. 
• Knowledge and hands on experience of humanitarian and development programme management in the context of Nepal.
• Experience in writing proposals, project designs and handling partnership issues and communication.
• Strong leadership, management and people skills including team player.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with fluent spoken and written Nepalese and English.
• Knowledge of the political, social and economic context of the region and the development issues and challenges it faces.
• Ability to plan and prioritise, meet deadlines, and achieve results in team with clear exit strategy. 
• Knowledge of Sphere and Red Cross Code of Conduct, and CHS.
