In Nepal, Positive Planet was registered as an INGO in 2006 and has been delivering programs on its fields of expertise: Financial inclusion/microfinance, Entrepreneurship & Skills development, and Sustainable Business innovations.
Positive Planet Nepal is looking for a Micro Finance Expert/Project Manager (1 year full time contract; renewable).
Skills and Qualifications:
§ Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Management or any other relevant disciplines
§ At least 3 years of working experience as a Micro Finance practitioner/expert
§ At least 3 years of working experience as a Project manager for projects related to financial inclusion, livelihood or BDS
Practical experience and proven track record in organizing and delivering professional microfinance training programs and development of curricula and training materials; experience in delivering financial literacy training is recommended
§ Good interpersonal skills and team player
§ Good report writing skills (English/Nepali)
§ Experience/knowledge in Micro insurance will be highly appreciated
§ Prior experience in INGOs is preferable
The expert will be responsible for the following:
§ Providing technical assistance and training for Positive Planet programs related to Financial Inclusion and Microfinance in Nepal and in the region
§ Ensuring Project management, monitoring and reporting for Positive Planet projects related to Financial inclusion in Nepal
§ Lead the Access to Finance component of the “PPP for 4Gs” program under the supervision of the Project Manager. “PPP for 4Gs” is a program funded by the European Union to promote a commercially driven cycle of municipal waste management in Ilam Municipality
§ Supporting the development of Positive Planet in Nepal, by identifying potential projects and partners and preparing new proposals
