Job Description

Logistics Officer - 1

Purpose

Being part of a diverse team of nationals and internationals, all committed to serve most vulnerable people, your role will be supporting logistics activities: ensure logistical needs of the programme are met effectively, efficiently and on time.

Key Responsibilities

ï‚· Carry out day to day logistical functions such as procurement, supply chain, stock management, warehousing, transport, asset tracking etc.

ï‚· Quality check of equipment and supplies, ensuring Medair is receiving value for money.

ï‚· Ensure clear and transparent paper trail is in place for all logistical transactions.

ï‚· Develop and maintain positive relationship with suppliers, local authorities, other NGOs and stakeholders.

ï‚· Work pro-actively to prevent potential loss or fraud in logistical activities.

 

Required Qualifications:

ï‚· Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, e.g. administrations.

ï‚· 1 year working experience in logistics, preferably in an NGO setting.

ï‚· Good English both spoken and written.

ï‚· Computer literate with good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Outlook etc.

ï‚· Willingness to work in, as well as outside the office (e.g. monitoring distributions)

ï‚· Proactive and flexible in working hours.

ï‚· Accurate, practical, open-minded, self-learner, team player with problem solving ability

ï‚· Can prioritize work to meet deadlines and handle work pressure
