Job Description

Nyaya Health Nepal (NHN) is sourcing IT Assistant who can oversee internet connectivity and make sure wireless network and internet connection runs smoothly. S/he is also have to oversee troubleshooting laptop and other IT devices on need basis.

THE ORGANIZATION: Nyaya Health Nepal (NHN), a Nepal-based NGO, improves healthcare for underserved communities in Nepal, in partnership with the Ministry of Health.

Our over 370 staff serves a catchment area of over 200,000 people per year. Our integrated healthcare approach involves two teaching hospitals, a professionalized community health worker network, and strategic use of data and technology to connect patient records from hospital to home.

Big 3 Responsibilities: 

1. Oversee internet and Wi-Fi connectivity for staff housing, clinical facilities
   • Maintain 24 hours effective functioning of Wi-Fi and other intranet services in the hospital, in-campus housing, staff housing, community hubs, and PHC
   • Follow organizational data security protocol, and ensure standard data security process for Nyaya Health IT devices. 
2. Lead trouble-shooting of laptops and other tech devices used by NHN staffs
   • Trouble-shoot basic networking issues, Wi-Fi/ internet related issues
   • Trouble-shoot software related issues of Computers/ laptops and other IT devices.
3. Maintain Nyaya Health Nepal’s wireless Network 
   • Cross Check all possible wireless network on daily basis, identify and solve problems in timely manner.
   • Make sure that all the wireless network of Nyaya Health Nepal are connected are running smoothly. 

Additional Responsibility: Ensure high quality registration process

• Ensure socio-demographic data are registered accurately in database
• Ensure safeguard against any favoritism in the registration process
• Make sure that the patient privacy is maintained

Qualification and Experience: Diploma in IT (+2 equivalent) with in-hand experience in wireless networking. 

Must Have Qualities:

• Computer networks, wireless, IP addressing and subnetting
• Troubleshooting IT equipment and devices used by NHN
• Can install and configure Windows and Linux based operating systems 
• Can configure and maintain UBNT wireless devices
• Must have Two-wheeler license, and can  confidently ride motorbike
