Finance Department of Grande International Hospital Limited (GIH) is responsible for developing and applying budgetary, accounting and financial policies and procedures, budget development and the financial management of the operational activities in accordance with the Financial Rules and in compliance with prevailing taxation and accounting standards. The department ensures financial accuracy and transparency of financial transactions. The department is led and managed by Chief Finance Officer. The position is located in the Finance Department of GIH. The Finance Officer will closely work with Assistant General Manager - Finance and directly reports to Chief Finance Officer.
Assists in preparation of GIH annual budgets.
Supports in preparing the monthly and annual budget performance report of GIH and ensures that correct and accurate data and information are provided in the various external reports.
Supports to the finalization of annual financial statements in compliance with the Nepal Financial Accounting Standards (NFRS) and in compliance with Income Tax of Nepal.
Analyzes complex/unusual accounting transactions in accounting system and implement corrective actions.
Reviews and reconciles various receivables and payables accounts, investigates erroneous/invalid entries and take appropriate corrective accounting action.
Performs financial accounting for fixed assets ensuring accurate disclosure in financial statements.
Provides advice, financial interpretations, adaptions and corrective actions in response to internal and external audits.
Supports/guides in monthly VAT reconciliation and inventory reconciliation.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of Accounting, Finance, Audit, or Management is required.Master’s degree is preferred. Semi qualified in Chartered Accountancy is highly preferred.
At least 5-7 years (2 years with Master’s degree) of relevant experience in accounting, finance, auditing or administration preferably in hospital sector which shall include preparation of financial statements, reviews of accounts payables and receivables and support in preparation of annual budget.
In depth knowledge of various areas of financial principles and practices including working knowledge of Nepal Financial Reporting Standards (NFRS), budgeting, accounting and internal control. Ability to produce financial reports and information from available financial records.
Takes ownership of all responsibilities and delivers outputs within prescribed time, cost and quality standards. Speaks and writes clearly and effectively.
Correctly interprets the messages received from other and responds appropriately.
