Cordaid is an internationally operating value-based emergency relief and development organization. In Nepal, Cordaid is implementing Project SRIJANA funded by Kerk in Actie with consortium partners International Nepal Fellowship (INF) in Jumla and United Mission to Nepal (UMN) in Bajhang.
The overall goal of SRIJANA project is promoting dignified and self-reliant livelihoods for migrant returnees and potential migrant youths by creating market-oriented livelihoods and employment opportunities which directly contribute to SDG goal 1: End poverty in all its form everywhere and Goal 8: Promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all. The project intends to support returnee migrants and youths who lost their source of income during the Covid-19 pandemic and are facing economic crisis, through the creation of quick return/high value on and off-farm livelihood opportunities. The project is also consistent with our strategy to support economic recovery of communities affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The project intends to support the revival of Nepal’s agro-based economy with the introduction of modern technology and making agriculture an enterprising occupation.
Given the scope of the project, Cordaid is inviting a proposal from the eligible service provider (company/firm-VAT registered) to develop a user-friendly comprehensive Management Information System for managing the information of migrant returnees, possible migrant youths, farmers groups, cooperatives, enterprises, businesses, etc for the Thalara and Kanaka Sundari rural municipalities in Bajhang and Jumla.
