Design Manager

Job Summary:

This experienced and world-class creative design professional will provide leadership in the design, coordination, and development of all the elements of client proposals, presentations, and related marketing materials. This Position is suitable for someone who is looking to advance their career and exposure to international clients. A primary focus of this position will be to oversee and develop the design team and to manage key client design projects. Due to their level of seniority, H/She handles larger projects and more complex analysis work in the Design team. He/She is responsible for delivering quality results on the projects, and in a timely and effective manner.

Job Responsibilities:

•  Lead and manage the design team, including assign projects, coach and evaluate designers in the execution of prescribed designs within brand standards.
• Organize and prioritize work of team members: Lead teams of Designers and ensure that deadlines on work and projects are met.
• Research the feasibility as well as local and International market trends for the design.
• Responsible for understanding local &International client`s business need and project goals, translate them into creative, thoughtful interactive experience.
• Own the overall project, not just the design, effectively support projects and teams, and demonstrate creativity, effective oral and written communication, listening and decision making skills.
• Actively contribute to develop and improve the corporate knowledge base (best practices, knowledge sharing across the whole organization) and keep up to date with new technologies.
• Proactively seek opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies.
• Ensure training plans to Designers: provide guidelines to senior team member for training plan and follow-up on status and progress.
• Teamwork: proactively initiate, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with team members; demonstrate the ability to cooperate with a variety of people and achieve results; share acquired skills with team members through formal and informal channels.

Basic requirements:

•  Bachelor's degree in relevant field or Master degree is a big plus.
• Demonstrated 4-5 years of work experience in Web Design and Development and at least 2 years as team leader or manager.
•  Basic knowledge of PHP/ASP.NET programming and Java Script;
• Expert knowledge of Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator and CorelDraw;
•  Proficiencies in HTML/HTML 5, Web 3.0 and CSS 3;
• Solid knowledge of Open Source Web applications such as Joomla, SageFrame, WordPress, Magento is an advantage;
• Ability to manage all aspects of complex design projects and synthesize direction from many individuals.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and develop creative design within tight deadlines 
• Professional client service manner and ability to interact with all levels of management
• Solid problem solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
