Description of Responsibilities:
The TECHNICAL MANAGER shall be fully responsible for all testing activities carried out by RETS in the laboratory and in the field including documentation of the activities and results of the process. S/He shall carefully supervise and issue instructions to all engineers and technicians.
The TECHNICAL MANAGER is responsible for the day to day management of the testing laboratory, including contact with manufacturers and accrediting institutions, planning of test, budgets, quality assurance of the laboratory work, calibration of the instruments and organizing training, seminars or workshops. He shall also be responsible for managing, conducting and reporting field test activities.
The TECHNICAL MANAGER will be responsible and closely involved with all work in the laboratory as well as field tests. S/He shall prepare and sign the test reports and field visit reports. S/He shall follow the instructions of General Manager and supply him all information on regular basis.
The TECHNICAL MANAGER shall be fully responsible for:
All laboratory equipment, their methods of handling including timely maintenance
Management of all technical information and data
Management of all technical documents
Supervising all physical assets inside laboratory
Proper filing/record keeping of all reports, documents, data, etc. related to laboratory
Ensuring timely calibration of lab equipment

Renewable Energy Test Station (RETS) is an autonomous body governed by “RENEWABLE ENERGY TEST STATION RULES 2063” framed under clause 31 of Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) Act 2048. Its Objective is to assists Nepalese manufactures of renewable energy systems and components with capacity enhancement for development of quality products with special focus on solar energy systems and components and to assist the Renewable Energy Support Programs\Agencies with technical services, standards development, international trends in use of renewable energy systems and components.
