Job Description

M. V. Dugar Group, a renowned commercial conglomerate is developing three hydropower projects:

  • Likhu 1 Hydro Power Project (77 MW) under Pan Himalaya Energy Pvt. Ltd.
  • Likhu 2 Hydro Power Project (55 MW) under Global Hydro Power Associate Pvt. Ltd.
  • Likhu A Hydro Power Project (30MW) under Numbur Himalaya Hydro Power Pvt. Ltd.

QUALIFICATION

  • Master ‘s degree in Structural  Engineering or Related field .
  • Knowledge of engineering software related to work

EXPERIENCE

  • 10 + years of experience working on hydraulic structures and hydropower projects with vast experience in executing international Hydro projects.
  • Extensive knowledge in underground works is must.
  • Design and commissioning experience
  • Expertise in AUTOCAD 3D.
  • Lead , guide remote located designers.
  • Business development experience interfacing with clients.
  • Extensive knowledge of design standards / codes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading and managing the process of engineering commitments in accordance with scope, schedule, budget and procedures to ensure successful project completion.
  • Responsible for designing structural components of hydropower projects.
  • Preparing technical specification /requirements for various structures of the project.
  • Resolving overall design and project execution issues, as required; Taking ownership of the high level technical deliverables.
  • Developing preliminary and detailed designs as well as overseeing and guiding the preparation of structural drawings and engineering specifications for construction.
  • Being an active participant in technical design reviews and calculation checks.
  • Approving the cost and schedule impacts on behalf of project management for change notices and participate in strategic planning.
  • Maintaining good working relationships with the internal stakeholders, including the management team, and clients.
  • Providing mentoring, coaching, technical guidance and quality assurance to other engineers in order to ensure the technical adequacy of hydro structures engineering work with regard to the design of reinforcement concrete and steel structures, and in the preparation of supporting calculations and drawings.
  • Establishing and implementing improvements to existing methods, procedures and tool sets.
  • Managing project resource assignments while ensuring a continuous career development of staff.
