The company succeeds Malla Travels & Tours established in 1979 which was one of the leading tour operators of Nepal. The Malla Group comprises The Malla Hotel, Malla Alpine Resort, Malla Treks and Malla Travel & Tour Services (now an IATA Agency).
The Malla Hotel has consistently received the highest achiever's award from the Tourism Ministry for being one of the top 3 foreign currency earners in Nepal in the hotel category.
