KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Proven skills in data analysis and reporting.
Strong analytical and report writing skills.
Excellent presentation and communication skills in English, both oral and written.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A good knowledge of setting up and running hydrological models.
Good project management skills.
An inquisitive and positive attitude, and be self-motivated.
A sensitivity to working in various environments and with people from different cultural backgrounds.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
A PhD/MSc in agricultural or water engineering or a related discipline.
A record of publications in international journals on relevant subjects.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in agricultural or water resources research or practice.
Practical experience in testing and piloting water resource technologies at a farm level.
On-the-ground experience working on agricultural or water management solutions with farmers and water users.
Experience of working in interdisciplinary teams.
Field experience from rural areas in upland and lowland Nepal
