Niti Foundation is looking to hire research assistant for the preparation of a guideline on the role of local-level mediation in managing natural based-disputes relating to infrastructure development.
The research assistant be involved on part-time basis over the period of May to August 2018 and during local government consultation workshop.
Job Specification
Scope of Work
The scope of work includes, but not limited to, following activities:
Assist in review of various study report, IEC materials and policy brief prepared by Niti Foundation and consortium partners including mapping survey for identifying status, nature and key governance challenges in resource based disputes in hydropower development.
Coordination with Niti, IPPAN and TAF as well as their change facilitators and mediators on the grounds relating to current practices of dispute resolution. 

Assist in the consultation with selected local government units and elected representative about good governance related to hydropower development 

Assist in review of action research to test strategies in prevention, mitigation and management of resource, based disputes in hydropower development.
Assisting the Policy Reform Consultant in planning and implementing consultative meetings.
Assist Niti team in organizing events inside and outside Kathmandu.
Work with Niti team and other service provider to oversee the publication of the guideline.
