Coordinate with the Program Manager - Education and Environment and the District Program Coordinator to implement education and environment activities.
Strong coordination and good working relationships with project stakeholders, including government, non-government organizations, and other relevant authorities at local level.
Support and guide thematic assistants to ensure effective program implementation.
Ensure smooth implementation of program activities in collaboration with team members.
Conduct regular field visits to support the implementation of planned activities under the education and environment theme.
Review the physical and financial progress of project interventions.
Develop monthly and quarterly action plans for the education and environment theme based on the detailed implementation plan; submit to Program Manager and Program Coordinator.
Prepare field/school visit reports, progress reports, and financial supporting documents; submit them within the set deadlines.
Identify, document, and share best practices, case studies, and personal testimonies that highlight the impact and learnings of the project.
Enhance collaboration with local government bodies, schools, community networks, and civil society groups to foster project partnerships.
Support data collection and maintenance of relevant statistics for monitoring and evaluation.
Collect relevant data, information, and prepare case studies, best practices, and lessons learned for submission to the Program Manager.
Support the Program Manager in volunteer’s field planning and effective mobilization.
Job Specification
Required Qualification and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in education or social science with three years of work experience in Education sector or Master’s degree in education or social science with two years of work experience in Education sector planning budgeting.
Minimum 3 years of working experience in relevant field, especially in Early Childhood Development and Education (ECED) sector.
Demonstrated experience in collaborating with district-level line agencies, local governments, communities, and schools, with strong ability to lead, inspire, and build the capacity of others.
Good knowledge and understanding of ECED and early grades learning with focus on education related issues and policies in Nepal.
Aware of policies, rules and procedures related to early childhood development
Knowledge of teacher training practices preferred
Manages time and priorities, meets deadlines and is punctual
Communicates in a clear, concise and responsible way
Capacity to build and maintain effective working relations with local authorities and other relevant stakeholders in local level.
Should have expertise in data analysis, report writing, and training facilitation.
Good command of English and Nepali language (written and spoken)
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and the Internet.
