Magic Bus is an India based NGO with an objective to move children out of poverty by nurturing them on a journey from education to livelihood. They use mentors, sports-based curricula and an ecosystem approach to engage children and ensure that they make the right choices all the way through to better livelihoods as adults.
Starting with a single programme in a Mumbai slum in 1999, Magic Bus now has operational offices across 22 states in India as well as London and Singapore. They are one of the largest poverty alleviation programmes in India working with 370,000 children and 8500 trained volunteers.
With their proven experience and expertise of over 15 years in India, globally relevant pedagogy, language neutral methodology and large funding volumes, Magic Bus has taken the strategic step to expand its programmes to Nepal, operating out of Kathmandu.
