Qualification:

Master's Degree in Law with at least 50% or equivalent from a recognized University.  Preference will be given to the candidate having Master's  Degree in Commercial, Business or International Trade Law or similar field of study.

Experience: At least three years of experience in handling legal case/issue in Commercial Banks or Legal Practice or similar organization.

Age: Not exceeding 35 years as on 12th June 2019.

Other desirable competencies/qualifications for the position:

  • Must hold Advocate License issued by Nepal Bar Council.
  • Must be a Nepali Citizen.
  • In depth knowledge of commercial/labor/contract/banking laws of Nepal and international trade laws.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Nepali.
  • Good command over communication, negotiation and diplomatic skills.
  • Ability to review and provide legal advice and guidance on matters of all legal implications.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Demonstrate familiarity & up to date knowledge with applicable laws, Rules, Regulations, NRB Directives and strong ability to communicate effectively with the Senior Management.
  • Strong inter-personal skills, analytical skills, communication skills and ability to maintain effective working relations with people, team leadership, planning and report writing skills and ability to work under pressure.

Organization Summary

Nepal SBI Bank Ltd. is a subsidiary of State Bank of India which has 55 percent of ownership and rest is held by a local partner viz. Employee Provident Fund (15%) and general public (30%).
