We are looking for an enthusiastic DevOps Engineer for the IT department, who is comfortable and skilled at working with technical people to join our team.

As a candidate, you must be:
Help tune performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure
Design and develop infrastructure monitoring and reporting tools
Develop and maintain configuration management solutions
Develop test automation frameworks in collaboration with rest of the team
Create tools to help teams make the most out of the available infrastructure
Job Specification
Experience with Linux servers in virtualized environments
Familiarity with the fundamentals of Linux scripting languages like Python, Shell Script
Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as Bind, Apache, MySQL, nginx, Tomcat, JBoss etc.
Strong grasp on configuration management tools, such as Puppet, and Chef
Familiarity with load balancing, firewalls, IDS etc.
Proficient with network tools such as iptables, Linux IPVS, HAProxy, etc.
Experience with virtualization technologies, such as Xen, and VMware ESXi
Ability to build and monitor services on production servers
Knowledge of System/Networking Protocols and tools.
RHCE and CCNA certification will be an added advantage.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on AWS Implement systems that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing on the AWS platform design, manage, and maintain tools to automate operational processes
Data backup: Make sure the jobs are running properly and data are being backed up to the backup location as per the schedule settings. Checklist will be provided for our custom services

Administration and Security:
Periodic monitoring for system security like DDOS attack and notify concerned stake holders about the issue and possible measures to prevent it
Provide necessary access to the system
Handle on-demand availability of the server by halting the service during agreed upon period and make it available accordingly
Network Infrastructure Implementation:
Creating a VPN setting to make all the systems available within same subnet.
Creating/Modifying/Deleting accesses to the VPN as per the request from the system owner
Guide the team to implement system/server level security as per the best practice guidelines
