Job Description

Database Officer - 1 Ref# 2017-08 (Kavre based, with some travel in project districts)

  • At least bachelor degree in relevant subject with 2 years of work experiences especially in disability management. The Database Officer is responsible for establishing database rules for the project, maintaining documentation of data and reporting protocols, and assisting in the development and implementation of best practices for the management of databases including the assurance of database policies and procedures, data integrity, data extraction, report customization and analysis. Supports staff with the use of databases. Solid understanding of the principles of database management and business process workflow. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail including database management and maintenance.

Organization Summary

Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre for Disabled Children (HRDC) is only program of the Friends Of the Disabled (FOD), a not-for-profit Nepalese NGO dedicated to provide treatment and rehabilitation services to children with physical disabilities since 1985. The Swiss Solidarity/cbm supported project "Post - Earthquake Health Rehabilitation Project (PEHRP)' is a 21 months project with the objective is that persons injured by the earthquake and persons with physical disabilities are physically rehabilitated and have continued access to functioning basic health services. HRDC now seeks to recruit qualified and interested professionals to carry out project activities in Kavre, Makawanpur and Dhading districts. All the position requires to work closely with the concerned partner organizations and Local Health Institutions.
