Main responsibilities
We are looking for an aspiring individual (preferably an international expert with professional consulting experience in Nepal's development sector) who is keen to manage and grow a team. As Country Director you will have overall responsibility for developing and managing the portfolio of consulting opportunities and supervising its implementation in Nepal in line with IPE Triple Line vision. The Country Director will initially focus on building the IPE Triple Line brand in Nepal and develop long term strategic partnerships with Government and key national and international donors.
Responsibilities of the Country Director shall include but will not be limited to:
Leadership & Management

Provide Leadership in setting direction and operations in Nepal, in consultation with the Director, Social and Economic Empowerment and COO, IPE Global.

Oversee management of country office's staff, consultants, accounts, audit and compliances.

Staffing - hiring key staff for the office and on projects as required and ensure preparation of database of local consultants.

Coordination and communication with all the offices of IPE Global Group for support on proposals.
Business Development & Program Management

Establish strategic partnership with consultancy organisations, International NGOs and other resourceinstitutions in Nepal with an objective to bid for opportunities from various development partners and Government of Nepal.

Create, develop and manage repository of CVs of good technical experts across Nepal to be used for various bids.

Manage relationships with key Government Departments in Nepal.

Lead on identifying business development opportunities from development partners & local Ministries.

Lead on developing quality proposals to respond to the opportunities/RFPs.

Initiate and seek new ideas & relationships for the development of new projects and businesses.

Actively lead in building consortiums in key sectors based on development partners, nature of projects and key strengths of various partners.

Oversee and coordinate the project portfolio to ensure the highest level of project quality and accountability, while fostering continuity through building local capacity.
Person specification: Eligible to live and work in the Nepal & 10+ years' experience post qualification in senior management position including demonstrated experience in Business Development, Program Management & Implementation of Development sector programmes in Nepal and South Asia
