An international consulting firm is looking for consultants for The Renewable Energy for Rural Areas (RERA)

Position 1: Local Long-Term Experts-Capacity Development (Implementation, Coordination, Governance, and M&E)

Qualifications:

1. A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or higher in Social Sciences, Education, Engineering, Development Studies or related subjects.

Experience and Skills:

1. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in strategic Capacity Development in in cooperation with international development partners in the context of rural Nepal
2. Extensive knowledge on Renewable Energy
3. Experience in monitoring and evaluating CD-Measures.
4. Good command of written and oral English and Nepalese,
5. Command of other local languages would be an asset.

Position 2: Long-term Expert- Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI, M&E)

Qualifications:

1. A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or higher in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Education, Engineering, Development Studies or related subjects.

Experience and Skills:

1. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in GESI in cooperation with international development partners in the context of rural Nepal
2. Work experience in the renewable energy sector
3. Experience in GESI sensitive M&E
4. Good command of written and oral English and Nepalese
5. Command of other local languages would be an asset.

Position 3: Short-term National Experts Pool (at least 5 yrs. experience in related field)

Expert1: Remote monitoring technologies for renewable energies (Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering)

Expert2: Local Administration (Local Administration or similar qualification and experience)

Expert3: Public and Constitutional Law (Nepalese Public and Constitutional Law)

Expert4: Energy Strategy and Master Planning (Governance, Engineering or Economics)

Expert5: Information Management Expert, Database Design and Programming (Software Engineers)

Expert6: Renewable Energy Subsidy Expert (economics, governance, administration, and engineering)
