Solar Electric Manufacturers Association Nepal (SEMAN) is a non-governmental, non-profit making, non-political professional business association, which represent almost all Solar PV Electric Industries in Nepal and registered in District Administration Office, Katmandu. It was established in 2057/4/20 B.S. (A.D. 2000/8/4) and the registration number is 39/057/058. SEMAN is a full time well organized umbrella organization, which is capable of executing the PV related works. It has already handled several PV related training like Solar Electric Technicians Level- I, Solar Electric Technician Level –II, Repair and Maintenance Training and Training for Trainers (TOT). It has also conducted several orientation training for school teachers and company staff. SEMAN is committed to fulfilling all the problems of the solar company as well as whole solar sector there by co-cordially interaction with the AEPC/NRREP. It offers reliability and trustworthiness through its efficient services to the solar companies, Solar Technician as well as PV consumers.
SEMAN has 100 member companies to date and thru its affiliated members, it has supported the installation of approximately 400,000 Solar Home System (SHS), 60,000 Karnali Ujaylo (Tuki), 30,000 Small Solar Home System (SSHS) and 1,500 Institutional Solar Power System (ISPS) & Photovoltaic Pumping System (PVPS). Total power generation from all – SHS, SSHS, ISPS & PVPS installations is about 35 MW which is 100% renewable green energy. Additionally, 30 applications for the SEMAN membership are in process.
