Nepal Transit and Warehousing co. Ltd. is a wholly owned Company of an undertaking of Government of Nepal reporting to the Ministry of Commerce was established on September 15, 1971 (Bhadra 30, 2028) under the provisions of the Transit Treaty between Nepal & India 1971. The Company functions as representative of the Government to provide warehousing facilities at Kolkata and Haldia Port, India and conduct all the transit related activities. NTWC, which is under the Ministry of Commerce and Supplies, is duly registered in both Nepal and India under the company act of respective countries.
