Reports to: Chief Executive Officer or the authority delegated by CEO
Qualification, Skills and Aptitude
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, trained and experienced in desktop publishing and preferably having prior experience of working in an educational institute,
- Excellent IT skills, especially with graphic and webpage design,
- Knowledge of InDesign, Illustration, Photoshop and Freehand,
- Be creative and innovative,
- Must be able to meet set deadlines,
- Able to work in a team.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Graphic Designer, she/ he needs to perform the following duties and responsibilities.
Core Responsibilities
- Work with the administration team to produce new ideas and concepts and developing interactive designs,
- Employ design fundamentals when selecting typography, composition, layout and color in design work,
- Demonstrate illustrative skills with rough sketches and working on layouts ready for print,
- Develop concepts, graphics and layouts of brochure, calendar, flyers, etc.,
- Review the final layouts and suggest improvement if required,
- Employ color, type, illustration, photography and various print and layout techniques when designing a project,
- Maintain the website of the school,
- Create promotional displays, brochure, flyers, forms, etc. of the school,
- Develop the layout for school newsletter, monthly or annual magazine,
- Preparing rough drafts of material based on an agreed brief,
- Liaise with external publishing house on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality,
Other Duties
- Assist in monitoring of network and network devices connected in school network,
- Perform any other duties related to the school within the scope of position.
