Job Description

CARE Nepal is an international humanitarian organization working in the country for the past 37 years. It currently works in 36 districts through various programs on issues relating to improving the lives of the poorest and most vulnerable populations through programs that work on the following themes: food security and climate change; emergency preparedness and DRR; migration and urbanization; sexual reproductive and maternal health; gender based violence; women and girls’ leadership. Marginalized Women and Adolescent Girls are our two primary impact groups. CARE Nepal hereby invites applications from interested candidates for the following full time positions for the USAID funded project Hariyo Ban Nepal ko Dhan Program. The Hariyo Ban Nepalko Dhan Program (Hariyo Ban Program) aims to reduce the adverse impacts of climate change and threats to biodiversity in Nepal. This program is being implemented in two important landscapes of Nepal, Terai Arc Landscape and Chitwan Annapurna Landscape of Nepal.

Communication and Documentation Associate (based in Pokhara)

Key responsibilities: The Communication and Documentation Associate will document the good practices, success & failure stories, Human Interest Stories and other information and communicate among relevant stakeholders in order to promote gender and social inclusion responsive recovery and reconstruction work along with ongoing regular activities. S/he will also support to compile project management information system (PIMS) and report preparation. S/he will assist enriching the program quality based on project data and information analysis. The incumbent will closely work with Program Officer (Monitoring and Evaluation), Communication Manager, CARE Nepal, project/districts team in both TAL and CHAL Specialists, Field Staffs to ensure proper documentation and communication system at various levels.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelors degree in any discipline, preferably in Environment, Development Studies, Rural Development and Community Development. Experience of working with Emergency Response /recovery is desirable. At least 2 years of working experience in documentation of development projects/program.
