Job Description

Heifer International Nepal is a non-profit humanitarian organization dedicated to ending hunger and poverty and caring for the earth by empowering and providing smallholder families with livelihoods options, education and other resources to help them become resilient and self-reliant. Heifer invites application from interested and eligible candidates for the following three months term positions in its upcoming Earthquake recovery and rehabilitation project.

 

1)     Project Manager – 1 

Provide effective leadership for overall implementation of the project. Provide technical support for program design, strategic planning and supervise the project team.

 

Qualifications: Bachelor’s in management or equivalent with 5 years of relevant experience.

 

2)     Veterinarians-8

Provide effective delivery of animal production and health technologies, knowledge and skills to the Heifer Team, including project partners and beneficiaries to ensure they understand and adopt these to maximize farm animal productivity and total production.

 

Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science and relevant working experience in remote rural conditions.

 

3)     WASH Expert – 1

Provide TOT on behavior change communication and WASH activities to community facilitators, ensure quality of the training provided by them at the community level and prepare training manual.

 

Qualifications: Bachelor's in humanities or equivalent and 5 years of relevant experience

 

4)     Finance Manager – 1 

Supervise and coordinate accounting and reporting tasks in order to maintain accountability of the country program and support activities to maintain accountability of project partners.

 

Qualifications: Bachelor's in finance or equivalent and 5 years of relevant experience.

 

5)     Finance Officer – 3

To assist with financial and accounting aspects of the project and processing of routine financial transactions.

 

Qualifications: Bachelor’s in Finance or equivalent and 3 years of relevant experience.

 

6)     Administrative Officer – 2

To provide administrative and logistic support for the project

 

Qualification: Bachelor’s in business administration or equivalent and 3 years of relevant experience.

 

7)        Overseer – 2

Assess existing shelter status, prepare necessary drawing and estimates for earthquake resistant low cost shelter and monitor shelter constructions.

 

Qualifications: Diploma in Civil Engineering and 3 years of relevant experience.

 

8) Veterinary/Livestock Technician -4

Provide veterinary services in the affected areas.

Qualifications: JTA / JT certificate in Veterinary / Livestock and relevant working experience in remote rural conditions.

9)  Monitoring and Evaluation Officer-2

 To facilitate monitoring and evaluation aspect of the project.

Qualification: Bachelor's in humanities and 3 years of relevant experience.
