Position Title : TV/Radio Program Producer
Location : Antenna Foundation Nepal, Jawalakhel, Lalitpur
Salary : As mentioned in an appointment letter
Line Manager/reporting: Program Manager
Major Responsibilities:

Lead the production of Radio Magazine, Talk-show and other Programs of AFN assigned by the Program Manager.

Be responsible to co-ordinate and design program theme, episode plan, audience feedback gathering, program chart development and prepare program summary as per requirement.

Research and provide background materials for any element of the Radio Magazine, Talk-Shows and other as well.

Ensure pro activeness in content research within the projects.

Write the script and other content of the Radio Magazine, Talk-shows and other related programs.

Assist in editing and finalization of different audio and video reports/Scripts proposed by production team members and Local FM Station's reporters.

Coordinate with assigned Radio Magazine, Talk-show production team, technicians and FM coordinator for the smooth production and broadcast of the program.

Prepare minimum one in-depth story every week for the radio programs.

Be responsible for planning and execution of overall promotion of the assigned radio/TV programs.

Assist facilitate and provide the content support as requested in the training programs for the reporters of the local stations.

Provided updated contents in the website, social media and other possible alternative channels regularly.

Gather audience feedback through different modes e.g. SMS, Telephone, social media, field visits and incorporate it in the program regularly in coordination with Production Manager

Provide innovative input to all productions.

Readily involve in any other radio/TV programs assigned by Line Manager/Supervisor.

Visit FM stations and check-in with them regarding the status of AFN’s programs on FM stations.

Conduct field visit to carry out and support public hearing and other activity in relation to the program production.

Set up Content Advisory Group (CAG) meeting periodically in planned manner.

Prepare periodic and event reports of the assigned project as per the need.

Prepare, produce and timely update of promotional material (audio and video promo) of radio programs.

Support Supervisor and senior management team to design the training curriculum and training materials as and when required.

Support and provide guidance to production intern to perform required skills for the production of radio programs including; interview skills, production skills, editing and finalizing skills, research skills etc.
Key Requirements:
-
Bachelor degree in Communication/Management, development or other related field.

At least three years’ experience in related field.

Experience of coordinating and administrating multi-partner projects, preferably media or communications related.

Demonstrated skill in planning and preparing reports.
-
Sound understanding of the media in Nepal would be an asset.
-
Fluency in Nepali and English with excellent writing skills in both languages.
