Job Description

FUNCTIONS

Customer Care

The duties of sales person Starts with the opening of the premises door, greet every customer and Usher them to provide attentive customer service.

Selling

The most important function of a sales person is to convince the buyer by creating awareness & confidence in their minds to purchase &  It is one of the key strategy that a salesperson to establish a good rapport with potential customers.

    1. Getting Information

Whilst speaking, Observing & obtaining information from all relevant sources with regards to customer needs & demand.

    1. Product Knowledge

A successful salesperson needs to be up to date with product knowledge, Industry changes, to be fully equipped to answer any questions.

    1.  Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships

Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining constantly throughout.

Communication with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates

Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in writing or in person with due respect.

Maintain Showroom Appearance and Upkeep

It is the duty of every staff of showroom to keep the showroom brand new looking throughout the year. Should always discuss and bring new ideas to your supervisors for better showroom display. A well-organized showroom will have currently popular items in the main focus and less popular items at the bottom of the displays. The special-offer signs and displays should be highly visible, to attract the attention of potential buyers.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITY 

  • Always abide by the rules & regulations laid in the Hand book provided to each employee.
  • Be punctual, actively participating Morning Cleaning functions of showrooms
  • Receiving the customers by opening the Door, Greeting & ushering them in assistance.
  • Attending to each and every customer polite & caring manner.
  • Assisting the customer in identification of his/her needs.
  • Displaying  products with correct description of tags
  • Giving thorough demonstrations where necessary.
  • Handling bargain situations – Seek assistance from SSA
  • Handling Credit situation – seek assistance from SSA/ Manager
  • Creating customer awareness of new offers, discounts, schemes etc.
  • Making communication with the customer effective and pleasant.
  • Politely listening to the customer views.
  • Making the customer aware of the practical use of products.
  • Assessing the preferences of the customers.
  • Follow the instructions of SSA & Arranging for appropriate display of goods
  • Inform & follow up with Gowdowns of Appropriate packing of products.
  • Recognizing the frequent customers and their buying behavior & try cross selling through them to new market segments.
  • Communicating favorable image of the organization as a whole.
  • Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires.
  • Answer questions regarding the stores and its merchandising & low stock updating
  • Clean shelves, counters, and tables.
  • Estimate and make quotations correctly at once with customers consent
  • Making sure all Standard Operating Procedures are followed at all times (if any step or action needs to be taken which breaches SOP, need to get prior approval from immediate supervisor)

Reporting

  • Report on day to day activities, issues and feedback related to operation to immediate supervisor/ Manager
  • Inform and get acknowledgement on formal quotations, pre-orders, and any other important documents. Inform supervisors if any remarkable sales were achieved, or potential sale to come.
  • Should highlight to immediate supervisor on showroom development plans or on any actions that he/she took to drive sales.
  • In addition to the above carry out any other work that is assigned to you from time to time by the Manager/top management

Skills

*Should have at least 2 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing field *Should have completed minimum O’ level or *Excellent oral and written English skills required *Good communication and negotiation skills with strong command on spoken languages *Ability to work in high pressure environment  *Must be able to work both individually as well as in a team
