Job Description

FHI 360, a global development organization, is seeking highly qualified and dynamic Nepali citizens to join its team for an anticipated Civil Society strengthening project that aims to support the enabling environment for Nepali civil society and media, improve civil society and media capacity for effective policy advocacy and government engagement, support more coordinated and effective civil society and media oversight of public resource use and service delivery, and strengthen organizational capacity and sustainability of civil society organizations (CSOs). Specifically, FHI 360 is looking to fill the following positions:

  • Chief of Party: will serve as the project’s principal representative and will oversee all aspects of program performance, both technical and managerial. Qualifications include: Master’s level education or higher, and minimum ten years of experience in development at a senior program management level.
  • Deputy Chief of Party: will assist the COP with all responsibilities, including the development and implementation of the project’s vision, strategy, and technical direction. Qualifications include: Bachelor’s level education or higher, and minimum five years of experience in development at a senior program management level.
  • Organizational Capacity Building Manager: will lead the design, management and implementation of capacity building initiatives for civil society and media organizations in Nepal. Qualifications include: Bachelor’s level education or higher, and minimum five years of experience providing capacity-building support to CSOs.
  • Design, Monitoring & Evaluation Manager: will play a lead role in the design and implementation of a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation plan. Qualifications include:  Bachelor’s level education or higher, and minimum five years of related work experience, including experience managing and executing monitoring and evaluation activities for donor-funded programs.
  • Finance Manager: will be responsible for the financial management, monitoring, and reporting for all project tasks, and for ensuring compliance with all FHI 360 and donor financial regulations and reporting requirements. Qualifications include: Advanced degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or similar fields, and minimum 5 years of experience working in or with the NGO sector, especially in financial management.
