HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal is a Swiss non-governmental organization actively contributing to the improvement of the living conditions of poor and disadvantaged people in Nepal.
HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal will work in eight Village Development Committees (VDCs) in Sindhupalchok district to engage in rural infrastructural development work i.e. irrigation, school WASH, community WASH, community and individual shelters in the aftermath of earthquake for better rehabilitation of the people living in the community. The objective of the initiative is to improve living conditions of earthquake affected people of eight VDCs in Sindhupalchok through construction of risk resilient rural infrastructures.

Position : Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Coordinator
Duty station : Project Management Unit, Lalitpur with frequent field visit
Required education and experience
Master degree in Engineering - specialization in integrated water resources management or water supply or environmental engineering with 3 years of work experience in drinking water, sanitation and hygiene; OR Master degree in any other relevant discipline with Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering with 5 years of working experience in drinking water, sanitation and hygiene; working experience in the field of rural infrastructure (community and individual shelters, irrigation, school WASH, community WASH). Work experience related to water use master plan, governance, emergency response and recovery will be an advantage.
Position : Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator
Duty station : Project Management Unit, Lalitpur with frequent field visit
Required education and experience
Master degree in relevant field is mandatory; Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering will be an advantage; 5 years working experience in implementing projects and 3 years working experience in the field of monitoring and evaluation.
Position : Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Engineer
Duty station : Project Management Unit, Lalitpur with frequent field visit
Required education and experience
Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering with 5 years of working experience in survey/design of rural water supply schemes/ WASH sector; Master degree in a relevant field will be an advantage; field experience in survey, detail design estimate and implementation of WASH activities; experience and knowledge on different WASH approaches
Position : Rural Infrastructure Engineer – (2)
Duty station : Project Management Unit, Lalitpur with frequent field visit
Required education and experience
Bachelor degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering and knowledge of rural infrastructure designs; Post graduation/Master degree in rural development with work experience in disaster risk management or emergency response, humanitarian aid will be an advantage; minimum 5 years of working experience in the field of implementation of rural infrastructure (community and individual shelters; school building, etc.). Work experience related to community master plan, governance, emergency response and recovery will be an advantage.
Position : WASH Field Officer – (2)
Duty station : Field Office, Sindhupalchowk
Required education and experience
Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering with 3 years experiences in WASH sector; OR Diploma in Engineering with 5 years of experience in WASH sector; field experience in survey, detail design estimate and implementation of WASH activities.
Position : Rural Infrastructure Field Officer- (6)
Duty station : Field Office, Sindhupalchowk
Required education and experience
Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 3 years of working experience in the field of implementation of rural infrastructure (community and individual shelters, school building, etc.); OR Diploma in Engineering (building construction) with 5 years work experience in the field of implementation of rural infrastructure; field experience in survey, detail design estimate and implementation of construction activities.
