Job Description

Programme Development Officer (PDO)- Health and Sanitation Education

Duties and Responsibilities:

The incumbent will be responsible to Health Hygiene and Sanitation Programme Activities including of Women Technical Support Service (Jeevika Karyakram, Social Accountability (Jagaran Karyakram) in Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Improvement Project (RWSSIP} of the Fund Board. He/ she will facilitate to strengthen the HSE components of projects. He/she will assist SOs/communities with definition of specific HSE strategies and assist them continuously in refining and adopting alternative HSE strategies, data collection activities, practices, procedures, training methods and educational materials. He/ she will regularly monitor the progress of HSE aspects. He/she will also assist to SA, SO and Community in gender issues and monitor gender issues related activities during the implementation of projects. He/ she will also ensure the participation of women including IP, Dalit and poor/disadvantaged group people by the SOs/communities. He/she will facilitate the training and orientation to the women for credit and income opportunities. He/she will be responsible for reporting H/She will be responsible for reporting CHRD to DED and will be liable to him and then through him to ED.

Academic Qualification: S/he must have an educational qualification in relevant field of study with a Master's Degree from a recognized national or foreign University

Work Experience: Slhe must have at least 5 (five) years relevant work experience.
