Program Officer (PO) will work under the supervision of Executive Director(ED) of NMEFEN in close consultation with AVID Volunteer responsible for program and business development.
PO will work closely with:
· Executive Director (ED)
· NMEFEN Chair / members
· AVID volunteers
· MEDEP project team,
· MOI,
· other line agencies
Program officer will be responsible for the following specific tasks:
Ø Maintain regular contact with NMEFEN members to ensure a good understanding of members’ issues and needs
Ø Develop plans, programmes and activities to serve the needs of NMEFEN members
Ø Responsible for organizing different training contracts with NPSO, APSOs (MEDEP) and other opportunities.
Ø Prepare proposals, budgets and reports for all activities, in a timely manner
Ø Assist ED and others in identifying main problems, difficulties, gaps and concerns of existing NMEFEN members for Policy development.
Ø Work with DMEGA members to identify micro-entrepreneurs’ main problems, difficulties, gaps and issues in adopting appropriate technologies and support them for linking with relevant organizations for solving these problems and addressing the gaps and concerns.
Ø Work with DMEGA members to increase micro-entrepreneurs’ awareness on the policies/acts and rules, regulations related to NMEFEN and entrepreneurs.
Ø Work with ED on specific earthquake recovery projects and activities
Ø Any other activities and responsibilities as may be required from time to time, by direction of the ED, in line with this ToR.
