Background

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Nepal works with the people and Government of Nepal, and other  development partners to pursue equitable and sustainable human development goals through eradication of poverty, increase in livelihood opportunities, improvement in community resilience against conflict, disasters and impact of climate change, while laying down strong foundations for a society based on rule of law with an inclusive and participatory democracy.

The UNDP Nepal office is seeking applications from qualified Nepalese citizens for the internship assignement in the Human Resources Management Unit.

 

 


Duties and Responsibilities

Under the director supervision of HR Associate, the HR Intern will carry out following specific tasks:

  • Assist in carrying out the various processes for recruitment under various projects viz. prepare vacancy announcements; filing and listing of applicants’ details; pre-screening of the applications, coordination for written exam and interview; preparation of documentation for various processes.
  • Prepare list for short listed candidates in the data base format
  • Managing rejected applications of previous year, in terms of listing and feeding them to shredder machine, as required.
  • Support in digitization and archiving of recruitment documents.
  • Perform any other duties, as required.

Required Skills and Experience

Qualifications required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree last year or enrolled in Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management (HRM), Business or Public Administration.
  • Specialized certification in HRM will be an advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word and Excel spreadsheet in data management.
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English and Nepali languages.
