CARE Nepal is an international humanitarian organization working in the country for the past 36 years. It currently works in 37 districts through various programs on issues relating to improving the lives of the poorest and most vulnerable populations through programs that work on the following themes: food security and climate change; emergency preparedness and DRR; migration and urbanization; sexual reproductive and maternal health; gender based violence; women and girls’ leadership. CARE Nepal hereby invites applications from interested candidates for the following full time positions for the 5 year USAID funded Sustainable Action for Resilience and Food Security (SABAL)

Position : Gender and Social Inclusion Coordinator (2 Nos for 3 years based in Kavre/Sindupalchowk and Makwanpur) Key responsibilities:

The Gender and Social Inclusion Coordinator will be based at the District Office (cluster) and will be responsible to build the capacity of the consortium and local partners to mainstream gender throughout the program. S/he will assist the Gender and Social Inclusion Specialist in strategic guidance and technical guidance from the gender and social inclusion perspectives in and across the program component activities ensuring that gender and social inclusion is mainstreamed into programs and policies. The GESI Coordinator will work closely with program component coordinators and monitoring and evaluation, documentation components for the development of gender and social inclusion responsive monitoring systems and mechanisms

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in social science or women studies or other relevant subject with at least 3 years of relevant experience in the field of Gender and Social Inclusion.
