EARTHQUAKE EMERGENCY PROGRAMME POST ON FIXED-TERM APPOINTMENT 

DURATION: FOR ONE YEAR WITH POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION BY ONE MORE YEAR 

I. Vacancy Notice No. NEPA/2015-65: Emergency Specialist, NO-C Level based in Dolakha Emergency Site ( Responsible for Dolakha, Ramechap and Okhaldhunga)

Purpose of the post:

Under the guidance and supervision of the Senior Emergency Specialist, implements country office emergency earthquake response. Responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the emergency interventions to ensure the survival and well-being of children and mothers, and the affected communities in an emergency situation. Responsible for the management and administration of human and financial resources in the assigned emergency location.

Your profile for the post:

​* Advanced university degree in any of the following discipline: Social Sciences, Public Administration, International Relations,
Business Administration, Public Health, Education, or other fields related to the work of UNICEF.
​* Five years progressively responsible professional work experience in social development, project administration, monitoring and evaluation.
​* The candidate must have excellent command of written and spoken English and Nepali.
​* Functional Competencies: Relating and Networking, Analyzing, Formulating Strategies and Concepts, Leading and Supervising, Persuading and Influencing, Creating and Innovating (For details on UNICEF Competency framework, please visit: http://unicef.org.np/vacancies)
​* Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships, both within and outside the organization.
