Job Description

DidiBahini is a Nepalese non-governmental development organization working in the areas of gender, human rights, peace building and social justice, having strategic focus on promoting lifelong learning process, peace building. Its major interventions are directed towards poor, vulnerable, and disadvantaged groups of people.

We are currently looking for qualified, committed, and motivated candidates to fill in the following positions. We offer good opportunities for working, learning and sharing within the dynamic team of DidiBahini.

District Mobilizers-2 (Kathmandu and Lalitpur, Bara and Parsa): desired qualification is Bachelor’s Degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences and any other related and relevant field with at least 1 year of relevant working experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Overall planning, implementation & monitoring of the project activities in the district as per DB polices and Annual Work Plan and Budgeting (AWAB)
  • Prepare periodic project reports
  • Develop and prepare monitoring plan, regularly monitor and review the activities to ensure the activities are in line with achieving expected outputs.
  • Manage and maintain record of usage of resource including financial records
  • Communicate the program related information to central office and relevant stakeholders.
  • Communicate and coordinate with district level student and youth organizations, local government authorities, service providers, resource person, consultant, and other stakeholders for the effective delivery of the project activities.
  • Coordinate and communicate with local government units to ensure compliance with their policies.
  • Represent DidiBahini at different district level meetings and workshops.
  • Document the project activities and prepare project briefs, case studies, lesson learning, for sharing the experience with partners, visitors, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports.
  • Perform any other duties, as required.

Key competencies required.

  • Experience in project planning, implementation, management, and prioritizing tasks.
  • Strong communications, coordinating and report writing skills..
  • A sound track record of designing and delivering programs (trainings, workshops, seminars, conferences, and campaigns)
  • Ability to work independently or as a team player.
  • Sound Report writing skill in English and Nepali.
  • Very Good computer skill (Excel, PPT, Word, email/internet)
