Job Description

National Coordination Officer (Kathmandu):

Bachelor's degree in Economics / Development, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Social Studies, or Political Science with a minimum of 3 years' practical experience in assisting coordination for humanitarian or recovery efforts in Nepal, particularly related to housing recovery and reconstruction. Ability to lead complex activities within the context of coordination, prepare original situational analysis and the setting of priorities. Experience in preparing professional documents, and capacity to translate between English and Nepali is desirable. High proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and Skype.

Organization Summary

Housing Recovery and Reconstruction Platform (HRRP)

The Housing Recovery and Reconstruction Platform (HRRP) was established to support the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA), Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD) and Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development (MoFALD) Central Level Programme Implementation Units (CL-PIUs), other relevant government authorities, and Partner Organisations (POs) with coordination of the post-earthquake housing reconstruction.

 

The HRRP is led by CRS Nepal, and other financial contributors include DFID, SDC, Caritas Nepal, Build Change, ACTED, Christian Aid, Plan International, Habitat for Humanity.

 

The HRRP has been approved for the third phase of the platform at the beginning of March 2017 and will run until the end of February 2019.
