Urgent Job Vacancies for Following Positions
Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) is preparing a road maintenance project in collaboration with the Department of Roads that will include maintenance and rehabilitation of 200-300km of Strategic Road Network roads in the first phase. The project intends to conduct feasibility studies and safeguard interventions required for the preparation of the project. The project requests Nepali Consulting Engineering Companies to provide the following positions. Applications from individuals will be rejected.
1. Road Engineer(s) 3 Positions
a. Bachelor or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with minimum S years' experience since graduation.
b. Experience in DOR SDI road condition survey, maintenance treatments, cost estimates and DOR maintenance and construction specifications.
2. Social and Resettlement Specialist:
a. Advanced degree in social sciences, geography or international development.
b. Experience in assessing resettlement, social and gender impacts of road projects and preparing resettlement plans and social/gender improvement plans in international donor-funded road projects in Nepal.
3. Environmental Specialist:
a.Advanced degree in environmental science or related discipline.
b.Experience in environment assessment and preparation of environmental management plans for international donor-funded road projects in Nepal.
4. GIS Specialist:
a. Degree or diploma in computer science or engineering.
b. Hands-on experience in using GIS software to develop social, environmental and project mapping for international donor-funded projects in Nepal.
5. Inspector(s): 3 positions
a. Diploma in materials testing with minimum of 5 years experience.
b. Experience in conducting Benkelman Beam, DCP and trial pits on road projects together with laboratory testing of road construction materials.
