Safer Migration Project Phase III
The Safer Migration Project (SaMi) is a bilateral initiative of the Governments of Nepal and Switzerland led by the Ministry of Labor Employment and Social Security and implemented by local governments. Helvetas Nepal is providing technical assistance to the project. Hereby, Helvetas Nepal invites applications from Nepali citizens for the following position:
Job Purpose: Act as a bridge between the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security (MoLESS) and the SaMi Project to share relevant information and lessons learned through project implementation; coordinate and advise on necessary policy reforms; provide technical inputs and assistance to the MoLESS in developing policies and guidelines relating to the improvement of labor migrants’ protection in the federal context. The position will also be responsible to support the functioning of the National Migration Resource Center (NMRC) based at the Foreign Employment Board (FEB).
Required Education, Experience and Social competence: Master’s Degree in a relevant field with minimum of 7 years of working (migration governance and related development sector) experience with the government of Nepal or non-government organization in the relevant field. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion and poverty reduction.
Project duration: 15 July 2022
