Reintegration Project Manager for NGN funded THIS Reintegration Project

Job Description:

Objective: 

The main purpose of this position is to oversee, implement and monitor NGN funded THIS Reintegration Project under the " ENDING THE TRAFFICKING OF CHILDREN INTO INSTITUTIONS IN NEPAL".

In close coordination with Program Coordinator and Executive Director of THIS, s/he works on developing and implementing efficient strategies to meet the goal of project.

The Reintegration manager manages reintegration officer(s) and transit home manager(s), and provides technical supports to subordinates and other stake holders in order to meet the project goal.

Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring NGN-funded THIS Reintegration Project and transit home/s remains legally compliant with all GoN laws and policies, as well as any requirements set by donors or other regulatory bodies
  • Operational responsibility for the NGN-funded THIS Reintegration Project and transit home/s within THIS: ensuring NGN-funded THIS staff remain compliant with THIS and NGN policies and procedures, at all times (in particular NGN's and THIS' Child Protection Policy)
  • Supporting NGN and senior THIS colleagues with any donor visits or meetings, or in relation with any other external agencies, as required
  • Acting as a senior technical advisor to THIS colleagues on all issues of the NGN-funded THIS Reintegration Project and transit home/s
  • Supporting senior THIS colleagues in preparing the annual budgets for the NGN-funded Reintegration Project and transit home/s
  • Direct line-management of all NGN-funded THIS staff working in the NGN-funded  THIS Reintegration Project and transit home/s maintaining the hirarchical link to THIS Executive Director
  • Informing THIS E.D. and Program Coordinator about all the field missions that is to be carried out and  seek for their opinion
  • Coordinating with THIS’ finance Manager and THIS' Program Coordinator regarding finance related activities NGN funded project
  • Participating in the definition and guaranteeing the respect of all NGN and THIS’ policies and procedures related to the implementation and monitoring of the projects
  • Ensuring an effective level of communication between all the employees involved in the projects and their operational and hierarchical links
  • Ensuring the NGN-funded THIS Reintegration Project and transit home/s in Nepal healthy; s/he keeps within allocated budgets and financial procedures are followed.  Notifying and consulting with seniors on any unavoidable variances from agreed budgets, and seeking prior approval for this
  • Liaising when appropriate with Government officials, VDC, DDC, CDO, SWC, CCWB, DCWB, Women Development Office, Child clubs Child Networks etc.
  • Extending THIS and NGN's network with national and international stakeholders
  • Participating and/or organizing workshops, orientation programs, trainings on reintegration Process in-order to strengthen and replicate our reintegration approach within the civil society and GoN when needed
  • Providing regular and timely reports to the THIS Program Coordinator on the NGN-funded THIS Reintegration Project and transit home/s including THIS Executive Director
  • Ensuring the proper records of reports, communications and Photos and audio and videos on the projects
  • Maintaining and updating on the computer database as required all information related with Reintegration Project and Transit home in systematic manner
  • Any other relevant tasks which further develop and support NGN-funded THIS Reintegration programs in Nepal

Required Competency and Qualification:

  • 3 years of previous experience in the same field and Bachelor in Social Work or equivalent academic field
  • Social work Background
  • Good communication skill (both written and spoken) in English and Nepali
  • Good computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to lead and work in team

Qualities Required:

  • Highly motivated and Flexible, creative and patience
  • Ability to adapt in changing and challenging environment
  • Ready for field visit as per need in remote areas of Nepal
