Job Description

CARE Nepal is an international humanitarian organization working in the country for the past 38 years. It currently works in 60 districts through various programs on issues relating to improving the lives of the poorest and most vulnerable populations through programs that work on the following themes: food security and climate change; emergency preparedness and DRR; migration and urbanization; sexual reproductive and maternal health; gender based violence; women and girls’ leadership. Marginalized Women and Adolescent Girls are our two primary impact groups. Core priorities include investment in the empowerment and leadership of women and girls, good governance and accountability, working in partnership and alliance with like-minded actors, and evidence-based advocacy.

CARE Nepal hereby invites applications from interested candidates for the following SHORT TERM position for Earthquake Response and Recovery Program for 5 months with a possibility of extension for 2 more months.

1. Monitoring Evaluation and Reporting Officer (Based in Kathmandu)

Key responsibilities:

  • The Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting Officer will provides all the necessary monitoring, evaluation and reporting support to the project. The incumbent will support database management, monitoring, evaluation and reporting efforts across the consortium partners based on the established M & E and reporting system of the project. The incumbent will also have role in documentation and communication of the project level activities when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject from a recognized university with at least 3 years’ experience in developing/using database, conducting assessment/research, documentation and production of IEC materials is desirable.
