Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead all GIS related activities required by the programme
  • Establish an efficient GIS system for the collection of available data, creation of new data, their analysis and presentation in appropriate formats
  • Organize collected and processed data and store in appropriate and safe locations for current and future phases of the project
  • Travel, if and when required, and train data collectors using data collection devices in appropriate formats for GIS mapping purposes
  • Ensure all project operations are timely and efficient and adhere to donor requirements
  • Assist Team Leader in ensuring coordination with all relevant agencies and government bodies to obtain necessary permits timely and undertake necessary action for project implementation and reporting.
  • Participate as the key person in the entire GIS activities of the project.
  • Work with all project personnel to ensure all project activities are carried out timely and in accordance with prescribed details.
  • Assist the Team Leader and other staff members write final project report for timely submission to donor
