Job Description

GENDER SPECIALIST – UF/LSIL PROJECTS

FUNCTION

  • The major objective of the current assignment is to assistproject principalinvestigators (PI’s) align project activities with USAID Gender principles and guidelines, in addition to the key indicators of the LSIL.
  • The Gender Specialist will provide overall guidance and technical expertise on gender issue to ensure that complete integration of gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) are incorporated in all aspects of program design and implementation to enhance social and behavior change communication.

REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications and Previous Experience for Consultant:

  • The consultant should have at least Master degree in Agriculture, Sociology, Economics, Environment, Gender Studies, Rural Development or any other relevant subject.
  • Should have experience of 5 years of working related to gender issues in agriculture. Preference will be given to the applicants with experience in monitoring and evaluation of gender projects.

Salary Level: 

As per rules and regulation of Heifer International Nepal. The applicant shall indicate the salary expectation in the application.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Duration: 6 working months- full-time between May toDecember, 2017
