Job Description

Key Responsibilities: The Deputy Manager is responsible for management of WVIN Procurement and Admin-Logistics as well as Warehouse activities in order to achieve the project impact and goal as per approved program design and donor compliance. In addition, maintain functional and technical familiarity with customer-specific representation (i.e. GPRN pre-positioning and humanitarian logistics functions, GIK, FPMG) while establishing proper monitoring system and control of procurement processes.

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies required for the position: A Bachelor's degree in Management or Business Administration with 3-5 years in Procurement Management is a must; Demonstrated depth of experience and effectiveness preferably in an I/NGO context in working with community/grassroots people and organizations, specially focus on Procurement, contract management, Procurement and transport; Extensive experience and recognized expertise in models and methods of training, facilitation and capacity building, Project Management and organizational development for staffs, communities is required;A thorough understanding and experience about Nepal Government's strategies, policies, guidelines, plans about Procurement Management is essential;Ability to identify the Procurement Management issues at various levels at South Asian Context; A successful track record in coordinating / managing Procurement Management Projects in Nepalese context is needed; Should be strategic, creative and have good people management skills; Should have logical decision making and problem solving skills; Must have experience in using logical frameworks and Procurement monitoring.

Core competencies for the positions: Excellent oral and written English & Nepali; Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications including use of Microsoft Office; Ready to take initiatives and willing to work under pressure and exhibit a high level of flexibility; Hold a high level of integrity and honesty, self-motivated, confident, and able to work independently; Strategic, creative, and innovative thinking with decision making and problem solving skills; Good understanding of humanitarian Sector; Committed to World Vision Core Values and Mission Statement.
