Job Description

Possible is seeking an entrepreneurial Community Healthcare Provincial Lead to serves to champion the notion that effective healthcare must take place continuously at sites of care outside the district hospital, namely in the community and at patient’s homes and ensuring that patients are followed up and their care is viewed through a population lens.

Community Healthcare Provincial Lead will lead the strategic vision and implementation of all community health program in the District, manage the Community Healthcare team ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines and use quantitative and qualitative data for cost-effective, population health impact.  Strong preference will be given to those who can prove they can operate in fast-growth environments with limited resources.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in designing new programs both at district and community level and demonstrated skill in directly leading, managing and implementing public health programs.

Must-Have Characteristics:

  3. 2+ years’ experience in direct public health program IMPLEMENTATION
  4. 2+ years’ experience LEADING teams and directly MANAGING programs 
  5. Excellent background and experience in using data and metrics to inform program design

Big Major Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee District-level Community Healthcare programming and strategy with local team and external partners.
  2. Management of Dolakha District Community Healthcare team.
  3. Dolakha District Level Financial oversight.
  4. Dolakha District Level Data analysis and Evidence generation.

Areas of Responsibility:

1. Oversee District-level Community Healthcare programming and strategy with local team and external partners:

  • Develop CHP annual expansion and implementation plans and ensure roll out of Community Healthcare programs in existing and new geographies as per the plan.
  • Represent Community Healthcare team in local governance bodies including but not limited to the Hospital Internal Management Committee (HIMC) and the Hospital Operating Committee (HOC), as determined by Community Healthcare Director.
  • Collaborate with other Possible program leads to align programs and ensure effective organization-wide collaboration
  • Undertake personally regular field visits to each sub-hub in the district to understand hub management, mentor hub leads and provide recommendations to Community Healthcare Director to strengthen the program design (frequency of travel to respective locations to be determined with Community Healthcare Director).

2. Management of Dolakha District Community Healthcare team:

  • The Provincial Lead reports to the Community Healthcare Director and is responsible for management of Community Healthcare department staff on a daily basis
  • The Provincial Lead is responsible for ensuring compliance of the Community Healthcare department with the organization’s communication system (Asana) performance evaluation tool (P@P) and calendar (gcal)
  • The Provincial Lead is responsible for having a weekly one-on-one meeting with all direct reports
  • Support recruitment and hiring processes, mentor staff members to help them work at their full potential and terminate employees who are not achieving their AoRs by collaborating with Community Healthcare Director and Possible’s People Operations team
  • The Provincial Lead is responsible for ensuring all District level Community Healthcare team members are adhering to organizational systems and tools to the highest standard and are working across teams effectively to drive the programs and organization forward.

3. Dolakha District Level Financial oversight:

  • The Provincial Lead is ultimately accountable for the fiscal responsibility of the Community Healthcare department at the District Level
  • The Provincial Lead will develop annual and quarterly budgets for submission to the Community Healthcare Director to be incorporated into the national budget
  • The Provincial Lead works with Community Healthcare Director and across teams to use resources effectively, and to ensure that financial incentives are fully aligned with population medicine.

4. Dolakha District Level Data analysis and Evidence generation:

  •  Contribute as a thought partner with the Community Healthcare Director for development of national metrics to inform program design and effectiveness
  • Oversee monthly and quarterly Community Healthcare metrics for the District, and work with the team to ensure program targets and objectives are met
  • Ensure a data culture – including regular utilization of data to inform program decisions and improvements– in each hub within the district
  • Submit monthly summary and recommendations to Community Healthcare Director on achievements, challenges and discuss actions to drive the achievements.

You will spend 100 % time in Dolakha.
