Job Description

CARE Nepal is an international humanitarian organization working in the country for the past 39 years. It currently works in 60 districts through various programs on issues relating to improving the lives of the poorest and most vulnerable populations through programs that work on the following themes: food security and climate change; emergency preparedness and DRR; migration and urbanization; sexual reproductive and maternal health; gender based violence; women and girls’ leadership. Marginalized Women and Adolescent Girls are our two primary impact groups. Core priorities include investment in the empowerment and leadership of women and girls, reaching hard to reach population, good governance and accountability, working in partnership and alliance with like-minded actors, and evidence-based advocacy.

CARE Nepal hereby invites applications for the below mentioned position, from interested Nepalese candidates under the LEAD component.

1. Adolescent Empowerment Specialist (Sexuality) (based in Butwal)

Key responsibilities:

  • The Adolescent Empowerment Specialist (Sexuality) is responsible for supporting the adolescent empowerment initiatives on sexuality under the LEAD component and providing facilitation leadership in these areas to the rest of the program in Butwal to contribute to the overall Adolescent Girls Program of CARE Nepal. S/he will be required to lead on community engagement and facilitation for the preparation and production of the program’s facilitation module on sexuality.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master in Public Health or equivalent with a minimum three years experiences in the field of development activities with particular focus on sexuality, reproductive health and adolescent & youth programming. Strong coordination skill with adequate knowledge on plan and policies of government in the area of adolescent reproductive health.
