Account Assistant, ll work within an organization’s Accounting department. The role involves assisting accounting officials/senior management in the maintenance, reporting and management of the company’s finances.
You will be asked to provide administrative support and may also advise senior Accountants in relation to the company’s overall accounting process. In all probability, you will be working under a Senior Accountant or someone in a similar position of authority within the firm.
Main Responsibilities
You’ll undertake tasks such as filing, typing, basic bookkeeping, handling mail and making
phone calls. Other typical duties include:
Management of petty cash transactions.
Controlling credit and ensuring debtors pay on time.
Reconciliation of direct debits and finance accounts.
Ensuring all payments amounts & records are accurate.
Preparation of statutory accounts.
Working with journals, sales & purchase ledgers and spreadsheets.
Planning and budget control.
Assisting qualified Accountants with audits.
Preparation of financial reports.

Candidate should have 2 to 3 years of experience in finance and accounting.
