Terms & Conditions: Fixed Term contract till 31 Dec 2021, Based in Bidur, Nuwakot
Facilitate field activity; of AC5, Resilience and JOA to implement disability inclusive/accessible activities in Nuwakot.
Coordinate with local authorities (mainly Disability Coordination Committee-DCC at Municipality and ward level authorities) for identification and inclusion of targeted vulnerable people including with disabilities in the project services
Collaborate with local service providers of health and rehab, education and livelihoods and social protection
Collect information and report as per need of project.
Qualification and Skills Required:
Health related certificate level professional degree with (HA, staff nurse) with at least 1 year relevant experiences in community mobilisation, Disability Inclusion & social protection and Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) or School Leaving Certificate level with any health and rehabilitation related formal training (CMA, ANM, and Physiotherapy Assistant) with at least 3 years relevant experiences;
Experience of community mobilisation, Disability Inclusion & social protection and Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) will be an advantage.
University degree is highly rated

Forum for Human Rights and the Disabled (FHRD) was established in 2000 as Disabled People Organization (DPO) and NGO. It was established and led by Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in order to promote community based rehabilitation, mainstreaming disability in development and humanitarian emergencies; promote the rights of PWDs in accordance with the Nepal government’s priorities and UN Convention on Rights of Persons with Disability (UNCRPD). The driving force to establish this organization was to ensure social economic, cultural and other rights of PWDs in order to establish an open society that treats PWDs like others without disability. Over the years, FHRD has worked and developed its expertise in social protection, advocacy on rights of PWDs, involvement of vulnerable groups in development and disaster management efforts, promotion of local governance and accountability for rights, livelihood of marginalized and vulnerable populations including PWDs and social inclusion.
