The Environmental, Social, Health, and Safety (ESHS) Officer shall be responsible for ensuring the project's overall compliance with environmental, social, health and safety laws, policies, procedures, guidelines, specifications, relevant national as well as good international practices. The ESHS Officer should establish or ensure safe work procedures, minimize hazards, and maintain good environmental, social, health, and safety management practices with a focus on safeguarding the environment, preventing accidents, addressing social issues, and responding to emergencies in worksites.
At least two years of previous experience in the Environmental Health and Safety role preferably in hydropower projects
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science (Preferably Master's degree) with training in Health & Safety
Excellent reporting, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and computer skills
Willing to work in the hydropower project site (Ilam/Taplejung) on a full-time basis
Will have an additional advantage if applicants are from project area/region
